METRO Green Line and St. Paul Union Depot Tour – 9:00am-11:30am, Tuesday, April 10

Participants will hear overview presentations of how the Twin Cities system of current and proposed transitways is spurring commercial and residential economic development along the lines. Then, we will hop on the train for a narrated ride to the east end of the line at the historic St. Paul Union Depot. There, staff from the Ramsey County Regional Rail Authority will offer a walking tour through the depot while sharing the history of the depot, its recent renovation, and lessons learned in redeveloping it as a multimodal transportation hub. At the conclusion of the tour, participants are on their own to grab lunch in St Paul or stop at a restaurant along the Green Line on the way back to campus.

There is no fee to participate in the tour but an RSVP is required as space is limited. The tour will begin at the Center for Transportation Studies, located at the East Bank Station of the Green Line on the second floor of the Transportation and Safety Building on the University of Minnesota campus. Please click here to reserve your spot.
