New York City Chapter
The New York City Chapter, founded in 1958, hosts webinars and in-person events on contemporary transportation topics featuring speakers from government, industry, and academia. The chapter explores issues related to both freight and passenger transportation that affect the New York
metropolitan area. The chapter has hosted TRF’s Annual Forum numerous times and is widely known for showcasing newly released analyses of major transportation projects affecting the region’s public transit network.
The New York City area boasts the United States’ largest transit system, two busiest rail-passenger terminals, and an airport system handling more passengers than any other metropolitan region in North America.
