Transportation Research Forum community,

The Transportation Research Forum gained much momentum over the past year.  Our 64th annual Forum in Chicago during April attracted 135 attendees and featured dozens of excellent papers and posters.  In addition, our four technical tours attracted 105 people, including many local professionals who were not able to attend the conference.   Our chapters have been active

We congratulate Melinda J. Metzger, Pace Suburban Bus, the recipient of TRF’s prestigious President’s Award. TRF also honored Ian Savage, Northwestern University, as our Distinguished Researcher Award recipient; and C. Gregory Bereskin, St. Ambrose University, as our Herbert O. Whitten Service Award recipient.  Please refer to our Press Release page for details on many of the awards.  Other winners of Best Paper and Poster Winners can be found in Award section of our website, under the “About Us” tab.

We are also pleased to share a new four-minute video on TRF featuring testimonials by members and produced by filmmaker Caleb Haydock.  Among those appearing on the video are Jill Bernard Bracy, Jack Ventura, Baruch Feigenbaum, Deborah Carter-McCoy, Isabella Downes, Erik Cempel, Michael Edwards, and Aisling Reynolds.  You may also enjoy the interesting air, bus & rail scenes from Chicago.
